The Metro Chamber Orchestra begins its Sixth season with two glorious staples of the classical literature. Christopher Vath returns to the piano to join Artistic Director Phil Nuzzo and the orchestra in the Piano Concerto No. 5 "the Emperor" by Beethoven. Metropolitan Opera artists Sherry Zannoth and Noah Stewart join members of the Rockland Choral Society and the Metro Chamber Orchestra in Philip Hagemann's arrangement of Claude Debussy's "L'Enfant Prodigue" (The Prodigal Son) - a rarely heard early work of Debussy. This is a tremendously beautiful one-act opera, with first-rate vocalists. The Metro Chamber Orchestra has evolved into a highly-polished ensemble (I'm playing principal trumpet). We are performing this program twice (see above for the other location). Venue: The Christopher J. Murphy Auditorium at Iona College, New Rochelle, NY.
